What Do We Believe?
We are a non-denominational Christian church in Spanish Fork, Utah. We are deeply committed to the truths found in the Bible. We believe that the following are core essentials to the Christian faith:
The Bible
The Bible is the inspired Word of God and is completely true. It is sufficient as the supreme and final authority in faith and life. (II Timothy 3:16-17)
The Trinity
We believe God is One, eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19)
Jesus Christ
Jesus is the only Son of God, and He is fully God and fully man. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, and offered Himself as a perfect and complete sacrifice for us when He died on the cross. He was buried and physically rose again and ascended into heaven where He continually makes intercession for His people. (Matthew 1:18, 22-23; Luke 24:39; Hebrews 4:14-16, 1 John 2:1)
Salvation
Salvation is a free gift of God received by grace through faith apart from any of our own doing. (John 1:12; Galatians 4:6; Ephesians 1:13; Ephesians 2:8-9)
Christian Life
Once we have trusted Christ as our personal Savior, sin no longer has power over us. God begins to work within the believer to make us more like Christ and help us grow closer in our relationship with Him. (Romans 6:1-8, 39; 1 Thessalonians 5:23; Philippians 1:6; Philippians 2:13)
ans 15:51-52; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14)
The Church
All who have put their faith and trust in Jesus for salvation are members of the church. Each member of the church should seek out a local body of Christians to worship God and to accomplish God’s purpose. God created the church for believers to fulfill the Great Commission—to equip fully devoted followers of Christ. (Acts 1:8; Acts 2; I Corinthians 12:13; 2 Corinthians 5:19-20; Ephesians 4:15-16)
Eternity
Every person’s eternal destiny is sealed at death. All of humanity will be resurrected into the spiritual world. Those who have accepted God’s grace through Jesus Christ will live in His gracious presence forever. Those who reject Jesus will be judged by His holy standard and separated from His gracious presence forever. (John 8:24; 17:3,6; Daniel 12:2; Matthew 25:46; John 5:28-29; 1 Corinthians 15:51-52; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14)
